Looking For A Stock Pick???

Let me tell you upfront that I'm not a broker or anyone else that has a clue, I'm just a amateur like you, unless of course you are a broker or some kind of expert on stocks or the market. A friend and fellow blogger Morongobill One of Morogobill's sites (who's also not a broker)turned me on to what appears to be a phenominal opportunity. He discovered it while doing what he does in his efforts to protect the desert.
The product is rare earth. If you're like me, you have little knowledge of rare earths. I thought they were only mined in China, at least primarily. That they might be mined here in the USA I never really thought about. But I was wrong, they are, or soon will be. Bill turned me on to two companies.
Molycorp (MCP) and Elissa Resources (ELSRF). I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, if you're interested do the research that you need to make a decision one way or the other. Molycorp has been mining and selling rare earth. They stopped when the Chinese made it unprofitable. They spent a lot of money on updated processing equipment, and are on the way to producing again. Primarily their mines are light rare earth.
Elissa owns mines, and has just done their first tests to see what they have, it seems they have both light and heavy rare earths. They are about 16 miles from Molycorp. I've invested in both companies, because Molycorp has mines and processing equipment, and Elissa has product that Molycorp will need. Molycorp says they're currently selling all they can produce before it's even out of the ground.
I bought Elissa because they have rare earth, and Molycorp because they need rare earth and just spent a ton of money to have superior processing ability. Bill is pending investing too, he turned me on to it.

A Visit to the Only American Mine for Rare Earth Metals

iFixit cofounder Kyle Wiens visits the only source of rare earth metals in North America -- and one of the few places to get these materials outside China.

That big hole in the ground? It's a pit mine at the Molycorp Mountain Pass rare earth facility in California's Mojave Desert. Metals mined from pits like that were used to make the cell phone in your pocket and the computer screen you're staring at right now. I visited Molycorp two weeks ago, as part of our investigation into the sources and consequences of consumer electronics manufacturing.

What are Rare Earths?

Molycorp is the only US company that produces the rare earth metals used in devices ranging from wind turbines and electric vehicles to missile-guidance systems and compact fluorescent lightbulbs. There are seventeen rare earth elements, including praseodymium (used to make photographic filters), neodymium (used to make permanent magnets in hard drives and other electronics), and europium (used to make fluorescent light bulbs and TV screens).
Rare earths are used in a wide variety of electronics and clean energy technology. Somewhat counterintuitively, rare earths are not rare in the earth's crust; however, they tend to be dispersed in tiny quantities throughout the crust. They're often located within minerals such as bastnaesite and monazite, which makes them difficult and expensive to mine.

The Rise and Fall"and Rise Again"of Molycorp

At one point, the majority of the world's rare earths were mined at the Mountain Pass facility. Then, in 1998, Molycorp halted chemical processing at the mine following an environmental disaster; radioactive wastewater flooded the nearby Ivanpah Dry Lake. At the same time, China was dramatically increasing its rare earth production.
The resulting lower market prices forced Molycorp to close their mine in 2002. Although Molycorp has continued to extract metals from stockpiles of ore mined at Mountain Pass, China now produces between 96% and 99% of the world's total rare earth supply. The government carefully allocates supply to individual companies to support domestic electronics production. In 2009, they cut export quotas of rare earths from 50,000 to 30,000 tonnes, sending already-high prices on international markets even higher.

Molycorp has been working for several years to begin mining for rare earths once again, to help wean US manufacturers off Chinese imports. This year, they will reopen the Mountain Pass mine, an operation they've aptly named "Project Phoenix." Getting to this point, however, has been expensive -- about $1 billion so far -- and has required a lot of special environmental permits.
In July 2010, Molycorp went public on the NYSE with an Initial Public Offering of $394 million. In December 2010, they secured permits to start building a mining and manufacturing center so they could resume mining light rare earth elements such as neodymium and europium. The next month, they started mining bastnaesite ore.
In October 2011, Molycorp announced that they discovered a heavy rare earth deposit near their Mountain Pass facility and received permission to drill two months later. The heavy rare earths terbium, yttrium, and dysprosium are necessary for manufacturing wind turbines and solar cells, so the government has a particular interest in finding sources of those elements within the US.

Government Involvement

The Department of Energy released a Critical Materials Strategy report last month, which found that rare earths are necessary for clean energy technology, that the supply of those heavy rare earths is particularly at risk, and that Molycorp is the most promising rare earth project outside of China.

What's Happening at Mountain Pass Today?

I first visited Mountain Pass just over a year ago, when I took the (HDR) photo above. The signs of Molycorp's expansion since then are striking: there are many more buildings (some presumably part of the new processing facility), lots of cars in the parking lot, and employees buzzing around.
A few weeks ago, Molycorp reported that more than 75% of their Phase 1 production (i.e. all the rare earths they will produce between now and the end of September, about 19,050 tonnes) has been spoken for. In preparation, Molycorp has been hiring and expanding dramatically: it plans to hire 25 people every quarter until it reaches 200 employees.
Molycorp declined repeated requests to comment. When I stopped to take pictures of the mine, I got a chance to speak to a Molycorp geologist who was hired about 9 months ago and wouldn't give his name. He told me that the mine runs 24/7 because the equipment is hugely expensive; it couldn't be profitable otherwise. Most Molycorp Mountain Pass employees today have been hired within the last year, and most of them commute from Las Vegas. There isn't much in the way of housing in Mountain Pass, which has a population of 30.
Around the facility, employees drive large Dodge trucks. The trucks have little orange safety flags on a tall pole so they don't get run over by excavators. No one's been run over yet, the geologist assured me.

Why Does it Matter?


By controlling the world supply of rare earths, China is trying to create a barrier for anyone attempting to manufacture electronics elsewhere.
While most electronics are still manufactured in China, plants are opening around the world. The electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn, for example, has several plants in Europe, India, and Mexico, and is about to open a plant in Brazil. All of these plants are currently subject to China's export taxes and artificial limitations of supply -- if Mountain Pass production is as high as expected, that may change.
Also, though they're not actually rare earth elements, I'm excited to hear about two other items of the list of materials Molycorp will be producing: niobium and tantalum, used to make electronic capacitors. Having a domestic, ethically mined source of niobium and tantalum would be a huge boon for US electronics manufacturers. Currently, recycled devices are the only domestic source of tantalum.
Regardless, we'll be keeping our eyes on Molycorp this year.

Lincoln Rhode Island Police Officer Edward Krawetz Kicks Handcuffed Victim

Took this from my Facebook page. It's shocking but at the same time common. Why are cops of this caliber on police forces around the country? Why when they reveal themselves as sadistic opportunistic psychopaths will  the "good" cops, and courts go to such lengths tho protect them and keep them on the force? Why when convicted of a FELONY is the sentence SUSPENDED, and changed to attended a worthless anger management class? Why when convicted of a felony does he keep his job? Look for this cop again, next time it may be murder, there's apparently something wrong, or he'd never have been convicted of FELONY BATTERY, clearly the judge or the jury saw it.

"Over the summer, a still from a surveillance camera showing a police officer kicking a handcuffed woman in the head went viral on Facebook and email. The text below the picture read, "Rhode Island police officer Edward Krawetz received no jail time for this brutal assault on this seated and handcuffed woman. Now he wants his job back. Share if you don't want this to happen." The allegation was wild enough to pique the interest of the rumor-debunking site Snopes.com, which determined that the story was, in fact, true.

In 2009, Officer Edward Krawetz of the Lincoln Police Department arrested Donna Levesque for unruly behavior at a casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island. While seated on the ground with her hands cuffed behind her, Levesque kicked Krawetz in the shin. Krawetz responded by cocking back his right leg and nailing Levesque in the side of the head, knocking her over. In March 2012, Krawetz was convicted of felony battery despite his claim that he kicked Levesque in "self defense." The 10-year sentence he received was immediately suspended, and Krawetz was ordered to attend anger management classes.

But he wasn't fired from the Lincoln Police Department. Under Rhode Island law, the fate of Krawetz's job as a cop rested not with a criminal court, or even his commanding officer, but in the hands of a three-person panel composed of fellow police officers—one of whom Krawetz would get to choose. That panel would conduct the investigation into Krawetz's behavior, oversee a cross-examination, and judge whether Krawetz could keep his job. The entire incident, in other words, would be kept in the family"

Secession News as of 11/13 12:50pm

Went to the petition site: We the People and found the following state petitions asking to peacefully secede from the USA. There are some states with more than one petition. While I feel like many others that secession is impractical, I also feel that the administration should pay attention and not laugh this off as it indicates a lot of citizens who are unhappy as hell with what's going on in this country, and with the Obama regime, which is really nothing more than an extension of the Bush regime.  The numbers speak for themselves, they need 25,000 signatures within 30 days, and Lousiana and Texas have that already, while several others are close. Many people think this is no longer the country they were born and grew up in, blaming Bush and Obama for that. I know in the USA I was born in, we didn't torture, and the police didn't murder, and the president didn't brag that he could have anyone citizen or not killed or detained forever. We didn't use drones at all especially within our own cities. Again, let the petitions and numbers speak for themselves.

In the wake of last week's presidential election, thousands of Americans have signed petitions seeking permission for their states to peacefully secede from the United States. The petitions were filed on We the People, a government website.
States with citizens filing include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Oddly, folks from Georgia have filed twice. Even stranger, several of the petitions come from states that went for President Barack Obama.
The petitions are short and to the point. For example, a petition from the Volunteer State reads: "Peacefully grant the State of Tennessee to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government." Of all the petitions, Texas has the most signatures so far, with more than 23,000.
Of course, this is mostly a symbolic gesture. The odds of the American government granting any state permission to go its own way are on par with winning the lottery while getting hit by a meteor while seeing Bigfoot while finding gluten-free pizza that tastes like the real thing.
An article from WKRC quotes a University of Louisville political science professor who explained that these petitions aren't uncommon. Similar petitions were filed following the 2004 and 2008 elections. Still, should the petitions garner 25,000 signatures in a month, they will require an official response from the Obama administration.
The right to petition your government is guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. We the People provides a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. We created We the People because we want to hear from you. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it's sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.
Not everybody who wants to secede is polite enough to write a petition. Peter Morrison, treasurer of the Hardin County (Texas) Republican Party, wrote a post-election newsletter in which he urges the Lone Star State to leave the Union.
"We must contest every single inch of ground and delay the baby-murdering, tax-raising socialists at every opportunity. But in due time, the maggots will have eaten every morsel of flesh off of the rotting corpse of the Republic, and therein lies our opportunity... Why should Vermont and Texas live under the same government? Let each go her own way in peace, sign a free trade agreement among the states and we can avoid this gut-wrenching spectacle every four years."

States following this action include: Louisiana, Texas, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and New York. These States have requested that the Obama Administration grant a peaceful withdrawal from the United States.
These petitions were filed just days after the 2012 Presidential election.
Louisiana was the first State to file a petition a day after the election by a Michael E. from Slidell, Louisiana. Texas was the next State to follow by a Micah H. from Arlington, Texas.
The government allows one month from the day the petition is submitted to obtain 25,000 signatures in order for the Obama administration to consider the request.
The Texas petition reads as follows:
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
As of 12:46 am, Sunday, signatures obtained by Louisiana, 7,358; Texas, 3,771; Florida, 636; Georgia, 475; Alabama, 834; North Carolina, 792; Kentucky, 467; Mississippi, 475; Indiana, 449; North Dakota, 162; Montana, 440; Colorado, 324; Oregon, 328; New Jersey, 301 and New York, 169. Many more States are expected to follow.
A petition is not searchable at WhiteHouse.gov until 150 signatures have been obtained. It is the originator's responsibility to obtain these signatures.

Citizens in 15 states file petitions to secede from United States
 
So far, she says, residents in Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Colorado, New Jersey and ten other states, have filed petitions at the White House petition site requesting secession. A petition for New York to secede was file by "C R" of Grand Forks, North Dakota on Saturday.
Examiner's Sheila Carroll says those other states include Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Oregon.
On November 7, the day after the election, "Michael E" from Slidell, Louisiana, filed a petition at the White House "We the People" site, requesting that Louisiana be allowed to secede.
"When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation," the petition reads, quoting the Declaration of Independence.
As of this writing, the petition has 8.162 signatures and needs 16,838 to reach a goal of 25,000.
On Friday, a Texas resident created a petition to secede in order to protect the standard of living Texans now enjoy.

The Oregon petition, started Saturday by "Kristopher W" of Tillamook, Oregon, wants the state to remain an ally of the United States and possibly vote to rejoin the Union once "the citizens of Oregon felt the Federal Government was no longer imposing" what it calls a tyrannical government that cares nothing about the future of Oregon's children."
Petitions on the White House site have 30 days to reach a threshold of 25,000 signatures.
"While these petitions serve more to make a point than to present a serious proposition, they are a physical symbol of the deep resentment for the direction in which the United States is moving under the Obama administration," Conley added.

The 11th Anniversary of 9/11



I found this article at Counterpunch and emailed Jeffrey St Clair for permission to use it as I was very impressed and disturbed. Of course I've been saying all along that the information provided about 9/11 was phony, that it was a false flag operation by George II and his minions to give him an excuse for war in the mid-east and to cause the death of Saddam Hussein who had allegedly put out a contract on George I, his father. Similar to Adolf Hitlers attack on the German radio station which gave him the excuse to invade Poland.
Of course people to whom I expressed this opinion accused me of being a conspiracy nut, and said that no group of traitors could keep a secret such as this. But of course nobody considers that the traitors who actually knew the truth may be few, most probably didn't know they were doing wrong, and kept their mouths shut out of fear, after murdering thousands of their fellow citizens. George II and his protege have murdered not only those who were killed on 9/11 but possibly millions of people in the middle east, and it keeps going on.  Also, more and more people, including important people, engineers, pilots, etc. are now doubting the traitors story. Now I'll shut up and let you read the article.

Sometime in April of this year, when Alex was undergoing treatments in Germany for his cancer, he sent me a note about a recent PCR column that had delicately weaved a few sentences of 9/11 Trutherism into an otherwise cogent attack on the loss of civil liberties in America. Alex joked about it, saying Roberts had embedded these sentences like land mines for the sole purposed of wondering if we would detect them. We always did and promptly amputated them from the essays. In fact, Alex had wanted to publish a book debating the Truther’s best case scenario. He said that Roberts had been such a good sport all these years that perhaps we should let one of them slip through. Indeed, Alex had wanted to publish a book where the Truthers’ best case scenario would be put to the test and thoroughly debated. So here you are, Craig, a present from the shade of Alexander Cockburn on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11. –JSC
The article below was written for the Journal of 9/11 Studies for the eleventh anniversary of September 11, 2001, the day that terminated accountable government and American liberty. It is posted here with the agreement of the editors.
In order to understand the improbability of the government’s explanation of 9/11, it is not necessary to know anything about what force or forces brought down the three World Trade Center buildings, what hit the Pentagon or caused the explosion, the flying skills or lack thereof of the alleged hijackers, whether the airliner crashed in Pennsylvania or was shot down, whether cell phone calls made at the altitudes could be received, or any other debated aspect of the controversy.
You only have to know two things.
One is that according to the official story, a handful of Arabs, mainly Saudi Arabians, operating independently of any government and competent intelligence service, men without James Bond and V for Vendetta capabilities, outwitted not only the CIA, FBI, and National Security Agency, but all 16 US intelligence agencies, along with all security agencies of America’s NATO allies and Israel’s Mossad. Not only did the entire intelligence forces of the Western world fail, but on the morning of the attack the entire apparatus of the National Security State simultaneously failed. Airport security failed four times in one hour. NORAD failed. Air Traffic Control failed. The US Air Force failed.
The National Security Council failed. Dick Cheney failed. Absolutely nothing worked. The world’s only superpower was helpless at the humiliating mercy of a few undistinguished Arabs.
It is hard to image a more far-fetched story–except for the second thing you need to know: The humiliating failure of US National Security did not result in immediate demands from the President of the United States, from Congress, from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and from the media for an investigation of how such improbable total failure could have occurred. No one was held accountable for the greatest failure of national security in world history. Instead, the White House dragged its feet for a year resisting any investigation until the persistent demands from 9/11 families for accountability forced President George W. Bush to appoint a political commission, devoid of any experts, to hold a pretend investigation.

On 9/11 Doubts Were Immediate

On September 11, 2001, a neighbor telephoned and said, “turn on the TV.” I assumed that a hurricane, possibly a bad one from the sound of the neighbor’s voice, was headed our way, and turned on the TV to determine whether we needed to shutter the house and leave.
What I saw was black smoke from upper floors of one of the World Trade Center towers. It didn’t seem to be much of a fire, and the reports were that the fire was under control. While I was trying to figure out why every TV network had its main news anchor covering an office fire, TV cameras showed an airplane hitting the other tower. It was then that I learned that both towers had been hit by airliners.
Cameras showed people standing at the hole in the side of the tower looking out. This didn’t surprise me. The airliner was minute compared to the massive building. But what was going on? Two accidents, one on top of the other?
The towers—the three-fourths or four-fifths of the buildings beneath the plane strikes–were standing, apparently largely undamaged. There were no signs of fire except in the vicinity of where the airliners had hit. Suddenly, one of the towers blew up, disintegrated, and disappeared in fine dust. Before one could make any sense of this, the same thing happened to the second tower, and it too disappeared into fine dust.
The TV news anchors compared the disintegration of the towers to controlled demolition. There were numerous reports of explosions throughout the towers from the base or sub-basements to the top. (Once the government put out the story of terrorist attack, references to controlled demolition and explosions disappeared from the print and TV media.) This made sense to me. Someone had blown up the buildings. It was completely obvious that the towers had not fallen down from asymmetrical structural damage. They had blown up.
The images of the airliners hitting the towers and the towers blowing up were replayed time and again. Airliners hit the top portions of the towers, and not long afterward the towers blew up. I turned off the TV wondering how it was that cameras had been ready to catch such an unusual phenomenon as an airplane flying into a skyscraper.
I don’t remember the time line, but it wasn’t long before the story was in place that Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda gang had attacked the US. A passport had been found in the rubble. Another airliner had flown into the Pentagon, and a fourth airliner had crashed or been shot down. Four airliners had been hijacked, meaning airport security had failed four times on the same morning. Terrorists had successfully assaulted America.
When I heard these reports, I wondered. How could a tiny undamaged passport be found in the rubble of two skyscrapers, each more than 100 stories tall, when bodies, office furniture and computers could not be found? How could airport security fail so totally that four airliners could be hijacked within the same hour? How could authorities know so conclusively and almost immediately the names of the perpetrators who pulled off such a successful attack on the world’s only superpower, when the authorities had no idea that such an attack was planned or even possible?
These questions disturbed me, because as a former member of the congressional staff and as a presidential appointee to high office, I had high level security clearances. In addition to my duties as Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, I had FEMA responsibilities in the event of nuclear attack. There was a mountain hideaway to which I was supposed to report in the event of a nuclear attack and from which I was supposed to take over the US government in the event no higher official survived the attack.
The more the story of 9/11 was presented in the media, the more wondrous it became. It is not credible that not only the CIA and FBI failed to detect the plot, but also all 16 US intelligence agencies, including the National Security Agency, which spies on everyone on the planet, and the Defense Intelligence Agency, Israel’s Mossad, and the intelligence agencies of Washington’s NATO allies. There are simply too many watchmen and too much infiltration of terrorist groups for such a complex attack to be prepared undetected and carried out undeterred.
Washington’s explanation of the attack implied a security failure too massive to be credible. Such a catastrophic failure of national security would mean that the US and Western Europe were never safe for one second during the Cold War, that the Soviet Union could have destroyed the entire West in one undetected fell swoop.
As a person whose colleagues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington were former secretaries of state, former national security advisors, former CIA directors, former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I was troubled by the story that a collection of individuals unsupported by a competent intelligence service had pulled off the events of 9/11.
As a person with high level government service, I knew that any such successful operation as 9/11 would have resulted in immediate demands from the White House, Congress, and the media for accountability. There would have been an investigation of how every aspect of US security could totally fail simultaneously in one morning. Such a catastrophic and embarrassing failure of the national security state would not be left unexamined.
NORAD failed. The US Air Force could not get jet fighters in the air. Air Traffic Control lost sight of the hijacked airliners. Yet, instead of launching an investigation, the White House resisted for one year the demands of the 9/11 families for an investigation. Neither the public, the media, nor Congress seemed to think an investigation was necessary. The focus was on revenge, which the Bush neocon regime said meant invading Afghanistan which was alleged to be sheltering the perpetrator, Osama bin Laden.
Normally, terrorists are proud of their success and announce their responsibility. It is a way to build a movement. Often a number of terrorist groups will compete in claiming credit for a successful operation. But Osama bin Laden in the last video that is certified by independent experts said that he had no responsibility for 9/11, that he had nothing against the American people, that his opposition was limited to the US government’s colonial policies and control over Muslim governments.
It makes no sense that the “mastermind” of the most humiliating blow in world history ever to have been delivered against a superpower would not claim credit for his accomplishment. By September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden knew that he was deathly ill. According to news reports he underwent kidney dialysis the following month. The most reliable reports that we have are that he died in December 2001. It is simply not credible that bin Laden denied responsibility because he feared Washington.
But Osama bin Laden was too useful a bogeyman, and Washington and the presstitute media kept him alive for another decade until Obama needed to kill the dead man in order to boost his sinking standings in the polls so that Democrats would not back a challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Numerous bin Laden videos, every one pronounced a fake by experts, were released whenever it was convenient for Washington. No one in the Western media or in the US Congress or European or UK parliaments was sufficiently intelligent to recognize that a bin Laden video always showed up on cue when Washington needed it. “Why would the ‘mastermind’ be so accommodating for Washington?” was the question that went through my mind every time one of the fake videos was released.
The 9/11 “investigation” that finally took place was a political one run from the White House. One member of the commission resigned, declaring the investigation to be a farce, and both co-chairman and the legal counsel of the 9/11 Commission distanced themselves from their report with statements that the 9/11 Commission was “set up to fail,” that resources were withheld from the commission, that representatives of the US military lied to the commission and that the commission considered referring the false testimony for criminal prosecution.
One would think that these revelations would cause a sensation, but the news media, Congress, the White House, and the public were silent.
All of this bothered me a great deal. The US had invaded two Muslim countries based on unsubstantiated allegations linking the two countries to 9/11, which itself remained uninvestigated. The neoconservatives who staffed the George W. Bush regime were advocating more invasions of more Muslim countries. Paul O’Neill, President Bush’s first Treasury Secretary, stated publicly that the Bush regime was planning to invade Iraq prior to 9/11. O’Neill said that no one at a National Security Council meeting even asked the question, why invade Iraq? “It was all about finding a way to do it.”
The leaked top secret Downing Street Memo written by the head of British intelligence (MI6) confirms Paul O’Neill’s testimony. The memo, known as the “smoking gun memo” whose authenticity has been confirmed, states that “President George W. Bush wants to remove Saddam Hussein, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.” In other words, the US invasion of Iraq was based on nothing but a made up lie.
As an engineering student I had witnessed a controlled demolition. When films of the collapse of WTC building 7 emerged, it was obvious that building 7 had been brought down by controlled demolition. When physics instructor David Chandler measured the descent of the building and established that it took place at free fall acceleration, the case was closed. Buildings cannot enter free fall unless controlled demolition has removed all resistance to the collapsing floors.
If airliners brought down two skyscrapers, why was controlled demolition used to bring down a third building?
I assumed that structural architects, structural engineers, and physicists would blow the whistle on the obviously false story. If I could see that something was amiss, certainly more highly trained people would.
The first physicist to make an effective and compelling argument was Steven Jones at BYU. Jones said that explosives brought down the twin towers. He made a good case. For his efforts, he was pressured to resign his tenured position. I wondered whether the federal government had threatened BYU’s research grants or whether patriotic trustees and alumni were the driving force behind Jones’ expulsion. Regardless, the message was clear to other university based experts: “Shut up or we’ll get you.”
Steven Jones was vindicated when chemist Niels Harrit of the University of Copenhagen In Denmark reported unequivocally that the scientific team in which he participated found nano-thermite in the residue of the twin towers. This sensational finding was not mentioned in the US print and TV media to my knowledge.
Several years after 9/11, architect Richard Gage formed Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth, an organization that has grown to include 1,700 experts. The plans of the towers have been studied. They were formidable structures. They were constructed to withstand airliner hits and fires. There is no credible explanation of their failure except intentional demolition.
I also found disturbing the gullibility of the public, media, and Congress in the unquestioning acceptance of the official stories of the shoe-bomber, shampoo and bottled water bomber, and underwear bomber plots to blow up airliners in transit. These schemes are farcical. How can we believe that al Qaeda, capable of pulling off the most fantastic terrorist attack in history and capable of devising improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that kill and maim US troops and destroy US military vehicles would rely on something that had to be lighted with a match? The shoe and underwear bombers would simply have pushed a button on their cell phones or laptops, and the liquid bomb would not have required extended time in a lavatory to be mixed (all to no effect).
None of this makes any sense. Moreover, experts disputed many of the government’s claims, which were never backed by anything but the government’s story line. There is no independent evidence that anything was involved other than firecracker powders.
The case of the underwear bomber is especially difficult to accept. According to witnesses, the underwear bomber was not allowed on the airliner, because he had no passport. So an official appears who walks him onto the airliner bound for Detroit on Christmas day. What kind of official has the authority to override established rules, and what did the official think would happen to the passenger when he presented himself to US Customs without a passport? Any official with the power to override standard operating practices would know that it was pointless to send a passenger to a country where his entry would be rejected.
The circumstantial evidence is that these were orchestrated events designed to keep fear alive, to create new intrusive powers for a new over-arching federal policy agency, to accustom US citizens to intrusive searches and a police force to conducting them, and to sell expensive porno-scanners and now more advanced devices to the Transportation Safety Administration. Apparently, this expensive collection of high-tech gadgetry is insufficient to protect us from terrorists, and in August 2012 the Department of Homeland Security put in an order for 750 million rounds of ammunition, enough to shoot every person in the US 2.5 times.
Naive and gullible Americans claim that if some part of the US government had been involved in 9/11, “someone would have talked by now.” A comforting thought, perhaps, but nothing more. Consider, for example, the cover-up by the US government of the 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty that killed or wounded most of the crew but failed to sink the ship. As the survivors have testified, they were ordered in a threatening way not to speak about the event. It was twelve years later before one of the USS Liberty’s officers, James Ennes, told the story of the attack in his book, Assault on the Liberty. I continue to wonder how the professionals at the National Institute of Standards and Technology feel about being maneuvered by the federal government into the unscientific position NIST took concerning the destruction of the WTC towers.
What will be the outcome of the doubts about the official story raised by experts? I worry that most Americans are too mentally and emotionally weak to be able to come to grips with the truth. They are far more comfortable with the story that enemies attacked America successfully despite the massive national security state in place. The American public has proved itself to be so cowardly that it willingly, without a peep, sacrificed its civil liberty and the protections of law guaranteed by the Constitution in order to be “safe.”
Congress is not about to expose itself for having squandered trillions of dollars on pointless wars based on an orchestrated “new Pearl Harbor.” When the neoconservatives said that a “new Pearl Harbor” was a requirement for their wars for American/Israeli hegemony, they set the stage for the 21st century wars that Washington has launched. If Syria falls, there is only Iran, and then Washington stands in direct confrontation with Russia and China.
Unless Russia and China can be overthrown with “color revolutions,” these two nuclear powers are unlikely to submit to Washington’s hegemony. The world as we know it might be drawing to a close.
If enough Americans or even other peoples in the world had the intelligence to realize that massive steel structures do not disintegrate into fine dust because a flimsy airliner hits them and limited short-lived fires burn on a few floors, Washington would be faced with the suspicion it deserves.
If 9/11 was actually the result of the failure of the national security state to deter an attack, the government’s refusal to conduct a real investigation is an even greater failure. It has fallen to concerned and qualified individuals to perform the investigative role abandoned by government. The presentations at the Toronto Hearings, along with the evaluations of the Panel, are now available, as is the documentary film, “Explosive Evidence–Experts Speak Out,” provided by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth.
The government’s agents and apologists try to deflect attention from disturbing facts by redefining factual evidence revealed by experts as the product of “a conspiracy culture.” If people despite their brainwashing and lack of scientific education are able to absorb the information made available to them, perhaps both the US Constitution and peace could be restored. Only informed people can restrain Washington and avert the crazed hegemonic US government from destroying the world in war.

TSA, FBI and Everybody Else Overreacts

I found this article on Yahoo Sports. Link to Original Article  What I just can't figure out is where is their common sense? These idiots shut down an airport,  forced HUNDREDS of people out into cold night air (this is Alaska), people missed flights, and threw the someone in jail, all because another idiot made a joke, a stupid joke about a bomb. One reason I refuse to fly is the intense level of terror that the TSA promotes as they try to validate their "need."  They want us the public to believe they're necessary to "keep us safe." They don't want us to realize, or remember, that we flew safely for decades before anyone ever heard of the TSA. Back to where is their common sense, WHY didn't one of the morons that are making 18-20k a year "protecting" us just open the bag? Ok, toss the joker in jail, it's overreaction but ok, but why evacuate, etc? Open the bag, see no bomb, and back to business as usual. But of course then we might realize we don't need them.  By the way neither picure is from the article, from the Denver Post just showing you what "our protectors" are up to.

NCAA hockey referee arrested for joke about bomb at Alaska airport



When he isn't getting arrested for making inappropriate jokes about bombs in an airport, Peter Friesema is a referee for the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and the Central Hockey League.
Late Saturday night, Freisema was returning from a UAA tournament through Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage. The gate agent accidentally placed Freisema's luggage sticker on his traveling companion's bag, but he was told it was no big deal since they were both headed to the same destination and because the bags were already on the belt.
Then Freisema, 44, did what we all want to do at airports, but undoubtedly know what the repercussions are for doing so; i.e., make a witty, wholly inappropriate joke at the expense of an oversensitive atmosphere.
From the Anchorage Daily News:
What Friesema said next temporarily shut down the airport, forced hundreds of passengers into the cold night air, caused many to miss connections, and landed him in jail. "But my friend's bag has a bomb in it," the agent remembers him saying, according to a charging document. He recounted it to authorities slightly differently, more to the effect of "what if my friend's bag has a bomb in it?"
Either way, his comment was "perhaps an effort to be funny or flirtatious," Assistant District Attorney Adam Alexander said Sunday before Friesema made a court appearance.
("Flirtatious?" Oh dear … it's the root of all men's ill-timed jokes, isn't it?)
As a result of his quip, the airport was evacuated (!) until 3 a.m. and Friesema was charged with disorderly conduct. The Daily News reports that the FBI is considering other charges, which could include making terrorist threats; i.e., joking about a bomb and causing the evacuation of a public place.

Friesema was ordered to remain in Alaska by a judge on Sunday, which probably doesn't bode well for upcoming officiating gigs.
Goon's World received a "no comment" from the WCHA regarding the situation, but with the story having gone national, one wonders how long the league can go without addressing it.
Hopefully this all blows over so Friesema can get back to work; and by that we mean making jokes about having viral meningitis in a crowded hospital lobby and/or about carrying a shot gun to a speech by the president.
As for hockey … how fast does the first player who chirps him with "what are you going to do, put a bomb in my bag?" get a game misconduct?
UPDATE: The WCHA has released a statement --
The Western Collegiate Hockey Association today (Oct. 15) announced that men's referee Peter Friesema has been suspended indefinitely from his officiating duties with the league pending a review of an off-ice incident that occurred at the Anchorage International Airport on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The WCHA will have no comment on this matter until all the facts have been gathered and the investigation complete

Why U.S. Media Won’t Show You These Protests

I've known for a long time that the news that we citizens of the US see is severely edited. Even that from this country, our own country, such as the occupy movement, or even bad storms, anything that those in the government think will disturb hoi polloi, which can be taken to mean the lower masses, or the upper, the elite, depending on point of view, (by the way two comments, this is a greek phrase hoi = the Polloi = many which I'm adding here for those that think I should have put the in front.  Also using it to mean the elite, or upper classes is incorrect, but hey everybody else is doing it...).
Anyway, our government, our "leaders" elected, and unelected, are sure they know what's best for us hoi polloi, us bourgeois, us proletariat, the great huddled masses, the common man (and women), Joe and Joesephine Sixpack, enough sarcasm. I think, you get the idea that they, the infamous they, all think they're better, and smarter than us. That we "for our own good" should listen, letting them tell us where to go, what to do, when to do it. Much like in the military we poor, ignorant, primative privates must do whatever the intelligent, evolved general tells us, no matter if the private knows better, or if the general is an idiot.
They are terrified that we will think for ourselves, so every time it happens on a relatively small scale, they send in the police to put it down. Whether it's something like the Zoot Suit riots, or Kent State, or Occupy it's always the same send in the police, or the national guard, or both. They're now looking at modifying or eliminating the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 which contrary to popular belief didn't forbid use of the army against US citizens it just limited the local governments ability to use them to enforce law. I have to wonder what's going to happen when it's not on a small scale, but on a huge scale like in Spain, how will they handle it then? 
I have to wonder too, why, just as happened in Nazi Germany, and many other countries throughout the world, including us, Kent State for example, WHY people turn on other people like rabid dogs, why Americans turn on other Americans, beating and tazing, and killing their friends and neighbors, possibly their own mother and fathers, their own brothers and sisters, wives/husbands, their own kids. It just makes no sense why they don't say NO!!! Are they that afraid? Are they that controlled? Do they just love to kill, no matter who, or why?  Have their brains been washed to that extent, or are they just robots with no mind of their own at all?  
Back to where I started, the same thing applies to international news, they are terrified that we'll find out what's going on in the world, and again start to think for ourselves. Do like me go online and read the real news, not just that by what I call Pravda West. Well read the article, watch the videos, and make up your own minds.

Why U.S. Media Won’t Show You These Protests
In recent weeks, hundreds of thousands of people in Spain have held a series of protests against their government, calling for an end to ongoing austerity measures. It’s big news, and yet, if you’re like most Americans, you’re not even aware of the Spanish uprisings.
And while part of that can be chalked up to a tendency to gloss over international issues, it goes deeper than that. The mainstream media covers other foreign protest movements like the Arab Spring, but with something like Tahrir Square, they can also attach the slant that the Egyptian people were fighting for democracy, a very pro-American notion.
Spain, however, already has a democracy. It also has a failing economy caused by the banks, as well as a government that protects the interests of the elite over its general population.
Sound familiar? The Spanish’s people attempt to take back their country could just as well take place in the United States. Frankly, the corporate-controlled American media doesn’t want to give anyone any ideas.
Especially given the popularity of the movement in Spain. Anytime you can get tens of thousands of people to surround a Congressional building and shut down business as usual is a threat to the system. Of course, you’re bound to get a lot of people into the streets with a nearly 25% unemployment rate. And with the government instituting higher taxes and more cutbacks on social services and benefits, the people are similarly bound to reach a point where they will no longer stand for it.
Another thing the media doesn’t want you to know is that the movement is spreading. Currently, anti-austerity protests can be found in Greece and Portugal, too. Though the people are rallying against their respective governments, they have a shared struggle and justifiable rage that the countries’ richest individuals caused the financial problems, while the hardships and sacrifices are being thrust upon the working class.
Make no mistake: the powers that be see these protests as a legitimate threat. Why else, then, would they use the police to brutally beat and suppress the protesters? The videos that have emerged are frightening.
Warning: all of the below videos contain violence.



I imagine it’s hard to stay committed to non-violence while being struck repeatedly in the face with a club.



Of course, the American media does not want you to see these images, either. They don’t want you to see how a “civilized” government would brutalize its own people, much in the same way that the police impede journalists from capturing the oppression of protesters here in America.



The message from the police beatings is clear: do not voice dissent against the government. Despite these clear threats, the Spanish people have not been deterred, continuing to assemble en masse with tens of thousands taking to the streets again on Sunday.
Spanish unions are calling for a national strike in November if the government makes further cuts in the face of the overwhelming populous opposition. If the whole country effectively shuts down due to the power of the people, you can bet that’s another thing the American media won’t want you to see. Even if the American media won’t cover it – or perhaps because the American media won’t cover it – it’s certainly going to be a story worth following.

Not The End Of The World After All? Surprise!!!

I found this article on Yahoo News. Of course they claim the alleged Mayan prediction that the end of the age (baktun) means the end of the world is wrong, that the world will go on, and a new age begins. As I said in an earlier post this could well be, and probably be, another Y2K, where people panic and some make a ton of money on books, etc. and in the end nothing happens. But also consider, the Mayans that are being consulted today, are not the Mayans that created the calender, and understood the mathematics, astrology, and other techniques involved in what's become known to us.  They have long ago, I'm sure taken to doing the rituals without understanding the reason.  Also consider that thanks to the Spanish invaders and killers with their destruction of Mayan literature, we have only 4 known codices, or books, still existing. One of these called the Dresden Codice, is the one that we've gotten our understanding of the calender and what it means. If the murderous Spanish hadn't destroyed everything they got their hands on we might have a clearer understanding...or maybe not. Finally, it's not only the Mayan that predict the end of the age, among others so do the Hindu with the Kali Yuga, the Greeks with the Iron age, Christians have the book of Revelation (you'll find a post below that shows where we stand there), even the Buddhists although they believe the world will be restored so people can pursue enlightenment, which kind of suggests starting over in a new Golden Age. Depending who you read or talk to there have been four or five ages, meaning we are currently in the fourth or fifth now. Each age ended in destruction of the world, and a new world/age began. The Golden was the first and best, and supposedly the next, if in fact the end of the world and the age is upon us.  But all of that aside, one reason for this article, perhaps the only reason, is that "our leaders" are worried, perhaps terrified, that the people will believe the end of the world is upon us and create problems, so they have their tame media publish articles and do programs that it's a false alarm, misunderstanding, etc. in the hope that the people will calm down and everything goes back to "normal."

Experts: Mayas prophesized, but not end of World





MEXICO CITY (AP) — As the clock winds down to Dec. 21, experts on the Mayan calendar have been racing to convince people that the Mayas didn't predict an apocalypse for the end of this year.
Some experts are now saying the Mayas may indeed have made prophecies, just not about the end of the world.
Archaeologists, anthropologists and other experts met Friday in the southern Mexico city of Merida to discuss the implications of the Mayan Long Count calendar, which is made up of 394-year periods called baktuns.
Experts estimate the system starts counting at 3114 B.C., and will have run through 13 baktuns, or 5,125 years, around Dec. 21. Experts say 13 was a significant number for the Mayans, and the end of that cycle would be a milestone — but not an end.
Fears that the calendar does point to the end have circulated in recent years. People in that camp believe the Maya may have been privy to impending astronomical disasters that would coincide with 2012, ranging from explosive storms on the surface of the sun that could knock out power grids to a galactic alignment that could trigger a reversal in Earth's magnetic field.
Mexican government archaeologist Alfredo Barrera said Friday that the Mayas did prophesize, but perhaps about more humdrum events like droughts or disease outbreaks.
"The Mayas did make prophecies, but not in a fatalistic sense, but rather about events that, in their cyclical conception of history, could be repeated in the future," said Barrera, of the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
Experts stressed that the ancient Mayas, whose "classic" culture of writing, astronomy and temple complexes flourished from A.D. 300 to 900, were extremely interested in future events, far beyond Dec. 21.
"There are many ancient Maya monuments that discuss events far into the future from now," wrote Geoffrey Braswell, an anthropologist at the University of California, San Diego. "The ancient Maya clearly believed things would happen far into the future from now."
"The king of Palenque, K'inich Hanaab Pakal, believed he would return to the Earth a couple of thousand years from now in the future," Braswell wrote in an email to The Associated Press. "Moreover, other monuments discuss events even before the creation in 3114 B.C."
Only a couple of references to the 2012 date equivalency have been found carved in stone at Mayan sites, and neither refers to an apocalypse, experts say.
Such apocalyptic visions have been common for more than 1,000 years in Western, Christian thinking, and are not native to Mayan thought.
"This is thinking that, in truth, has nothing to do with Mayan culture," said Alexander Voss, an anthropologist at the University Of Quintana Roo, a state on Mexico's Caribbean coast. "This thing about looking for end-times is not something that comes from Mayan culture."
Braswell compared the Mayan calendar, with its system of cycles within cycles, to the series of synchronized wheels contained in old, analogue car odometers.
"The Maya long count system is like a car odometer," Braswell wrote. "My first car (odometer) only had six wheels so it went up to 99,999.9 miles. That didn't mean the car would explode after reaching 100,000 miles."
