Who Knows Who The Beatles Were Before They Were The Beatles?




They were the Quarrymen. The band was formed in 1956 Liverpool , by John Lennon, Pete Shotton, Bill Smith, Ivan Vaugn, Nigel Walley, Eric Griffiths, Rod Davis, Len Garry, Colin Hanton, Paul McCartney came aboard in 1957, George Harrison came aboard in 1958 and Stuart Sutcliffe in 1960.  Band members came and went, until 1960 when touring Scotland they changed the name of the group to the Silver Beetles, which Lennon disliked and so the name was changed again for the trip to Hamburg, Germany to the Beatles.
